It occurs to me I'm really behind on everything, although I should be able to at least marginally catch up over the next several days. However, if you've posted (or stumbled upon) anything you want me to see in the last 72 hours, you might be wise to link to it. This includes life-changing events, weird news, LJ ass-hattery and Snape meta (aside; here's my own Snape meta for you -- ( spoiler ).
Patty and I are having a blast, and this weekend we'll do the first furniture scouting trip and maybe acquire some storage space, depending on various cash flow issues. She has family visitng next weekend to do the move, and I would like the place to look more respectable than it does now. Then, she's going back home with them for a bit and will be back just a couple of days before I have to go to SF, but once I'm back from that the ongoing ordeal of seperate travel as a constant mode should be over for at least a bit, ad we'll manage to go to the beach befre she starts school again. Hell, we'll even have an aiconditioner by then (she says, sweating). Also dinner last night at JoJo was spectacular, but just because a fancy restaurant is also relaxed is really no excuse whatsoever for peopel to wear frayed cut off shorts there. I wanted to holler. Patty had the vegetable menu (best gazpacho ever), and I had the pork with cherry mustard.
In other news Descensus continues to be prodded at. The Malfoy wedding is still being worked on, and we're trying to finish short pieces in the time line we can let you see now. You wouldn't believe all the amterial we've finished that we can't let you see now. I sort of wish JKR would stop talking for a bit. We're all still processing DH, and she's trying to mitigate the nastier reactions in that processing. Give us a couple of weeks! And at risk of starting a comment thread I have no desire to deal with, there's this; http://news.yahoo.com/s/csm/20070725/cm_csm/ysawyer;_ylt=Ai2wauD9Mc0r6j5rhVyg0y2s0NUE which I think honours both my love of the series and those who complain about it most vehemently.
Meanwhile, I am experiecing severe, somewhat irrational itchiness to get back to working on my novel. Because it remains unspeakably lame for me nto to do this and succeed at it. So, again, this weekend, there may be space for that.
But now I have to go to work, and then some other work.
