Meme:
1. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
2. Tag seven people to do the same.
3. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it."

(isn't that a nasty little stipulation in 3.?)

1. My house is filled with weaknesses I blame on fictional characters, both mine and others (folks I write in fanfic). This includes everything from blood orange sorbet (I think only Rahalia knows the source of that one) to peach-colored lingerie (Narcissa) to the linen shirt I got for Regency stuff but was promptly mentally hijacked by a certain swordsman. Also, Mariome seems to have a particular thing for dulce du leche from Hagen Daz.

2. I feel more masculine with longer hair than shorter hair.

3. I love watching The Dog Whisperer. I don't even like dogs.

4. I recently wrote to get myself put on Hewitt's alumni mailing list. I don't know why. I mean, really, that's just going to end in tears.

5. I'm pretty convinced my father has celiac disease and I'm pissed as hell he won't investigate the possibility. I view it as a personal insult that he views it as both two difficult (hi, welcome to my life) and too unlikely (and I got this genetic disease from where, exactly?)

6. When experiencing turbulence on airplanes I mutter the Litany Against Fear to myself. For someone who has flown small planes, I get unbelieveably freaked by turbulence on jets.

7. The pillars of the House of Iona are Transportation, Accomodation, Communication and Hair. I think my household should hav epillars. But the best we've done so far is Cookies and Sex, which just doesn't have the same ring, not that anyone's complaining really.

So I saw my short play today, and it sort of took me aback. I can write! There are things that need fixing, but the dialogue is really sharp and solid and oddly funny, which I hadn't known at the time. Also, so fun to see it cast with epopel I don't know and directed by someone I don't know. The guy looked like my high school prom date and the girl was asian. I liked being an angry Asian woman today. And it made all teh stuff about appearance in the piece really interesting. But mostly I felt vindicated that it was good, and that these people didn't look wrong to me, but rather even more right than the original people I cast it with, or, of course, the moment in my life it came out of.

The lessons of visiting a certain class of girl in NYC.

I didn't own a copy of hte oscial register, because what would a girl like me need it for? Still, I knew its details on my classroom peers.
OMG, people! How fucking hard is it to warn for MPREG?
Okay, I've never much troubled myself over the shoes for my Snape costume, but OMG, I sooooooo wish Alison hadn't sent me the link to these beautiful awful little things.
