- Are you in NYC? Do you have the ability to take video with sound that I can upload onto the web for a thing for Gather? Let me know. It'll take like a second and a half, but I need to do it in the next couple of days.

- Okay, I know we're all sick of "Defying Gravity" but the opening stuff about her dissapointment in the Wizard really always guts me. Oh the terrible lure of apprenticeship.

- Kali and I have just started noodling at this, but we're working on Descensus holiday stuffs and it's most pleasing.

- Headache, which is clearly hormonal, is coming and going but is a lot better than yesterday.

- I should begin holiday shopping. Actually I got one of my mom's things, and Patty and I have agreed to do our holidays in January when the rest of the world is in a funk, but still. Also we should go shopping for exciting new bedding stuff this weekend. Whee.

- Have dived back into Nordic music. Alla Gossar is still the awesomest thing ever.

It is, despite the tone of the Times, hardly a new idea. Certainly it was a done thing in the world of my childhood, but like the non-romantic vision of the engagement ring, it was a form of insurance.
