- Listening to Harbor on repeat is a cure for most ills.

- My non-bitter sense of humor seems to have reasserted itself.

- Perspective too.

- Vodka Redbull. Why did I ever start drinking that? (I think it was the Limelight circa 1999). Why did I ever stop? And oh god, why did I ever think I should start again? Nothing like having no problem going to sleep, but waking up like a bolt at 8am, hung over and too restless to do anything but go for a walk. That shit's evil.

- Back into serious work on I Had No Idea I Had Been Traveling, the next piece of which will be called In Our Bedroom After the War, btw, which may be my favorite of our titles so far. Not that you care.

- Chick lit! Naming characters is fun.

- My cream velvet jeans have finally died their final death. I suppose it's fitting that this was Dragon*Con's fault.

- Among other Atlanta recap things I suppose I should take some time with -- almost crying in the Atlanta airport related to various military things from soldiers coming home to a big display of various WWII memorabilia that I wanted to photograph but didn't because I thought that a camera in an airport would cause huge drama.

- Suppose I need to post about the various Palin issues when I get a chance. Including the Battlestar Galatica thing going around (how many random things are best addressed with "so say we all" this week?) to the various kid-related scandals to what the fuck McCain was thinking, to how we campaign now.

- Today? Laundry and Trader Joe's.

- What did I miss? Was there any good fic while I was gone? I could do with a bit of well-written sweetness.
While we're all perhaps more acquainted than we'd like with the various iterations of fictional people in my head, I haven't written about hte fictional people in my apartment building.

These are people who get mail here, don't live here and we're pretty sure have never actually existed.

Since the beginning, for example, there have been the Rinko's, which are:
Rinko
Rinko Rinko
and Rinko R. Rinko
all of whom get letters about food stamps and overdrafted credit cards periodically.

Now we have there's Firdous M Butt who is apparently getting sued.

I sort of love it.
