You are already awesome, and as others have mentioned any story you enjoy writing is likely one I will enjoy reading.

I think I said what I needed to in my original requests, but have just a few more thoughts.

1. Flyboys. Okay, no one writes anything for this movie. So seriously? You write a story? I will be happy. It's pretty much that simple. Although I've always wondered what else that letter at the end might have said that wasn't read aloud....

2. RPF - Torchwood. This was sort of a bitch -- because I think of Doctor Who and Torchwood as just one big thing. So don't feel the need to restrict yourself! Two thoughts I should have mentioned in the original request: I actually work as an actor, so if you're going to talk about things specific to the process of acting or making stuff people watch, please do just a tiny bit of research. I'm pretty good at suspending my disbelief, but that extra bit of accuracy will make me swoon with delight. Also: RL SOs -- if you're going to mention them, be gracious to them -- no betrayals, break ups or snits. Thanks!

3. Swordspoint. I think I said what I needed to say in the original request. If you want to see my own writing in the fandom, check [livejournal.com profile] _riverside.

4. Kushiel's Dart. Again, I think I said what I needed to say on this one. I dream of this story.

Less specifically: I like men who act like men. Which doesn't mean they can't cry -- it just means I prefer it to be in character. Unless characters have a canonical habit of self-injury (hello, Alec!) I'm generally not interested in that plot device. I actually really love first time fics, and also have a significant thing for fics that show people doing the hard work (with good rewards) of being in a relationship.

I am kink-friendly (no food or former food; dub con that folks are happy with in the end is fine, no non-con please between primary pairing for fic, please) and poly-friendly, and as I legendarily said on a Dragon*Con panel when I hadn't slept for two days, "I kinda have a thing about strangulation" -- what I meant to say was "breath play" but wow, I was really tired!

So, I hope this has made it easier for you and not more horrifying to write me a story. Certainly, I look forward to what I will receive out of this mishmash of crazy desire.

Thank you again!
While there are a hundred reasons why straight people openly specifying that they are straight and also support the rights of GBLTQ people to marry their partners is a useful thing, think of the power of this:

Just saying that you support it. Without mentioning your own damn orientation.

Because I know it's not always or even often distancing when someone says, "I'm straight but I support gay rights," but trust me, trust me, trust me, trust me, when I tell you that's what it can feel like from over here.

Just try saying it without qualification. Picture _that_ as an LJ meme. You know?
