Play along with me for a second here... you're a mostly straight cis-gendered boy born in the US in 1983. What are the first science fiction/fantasy/ tv show/movie/comic/book things you become obsessed with say between the ages of 6 and 10? Which ones had those weird early impacts on your sexuality? Being none of these things, I need to know. Yes, ConSweet again.
As the muscle pain fades the tingly arm thing becomes clearer. It's fucking ANNOYING, but improving, but really, really frustrating. There are all sorts of things I can't do well right now, and grrrrrah. I also can't concentrate enough to write, which is upsetting. There's no way I'm going to "win" NaNo, and I'm really depressed about it, even though I've made a great start on my book and will surely finish it soon. I'm trying not to be dejected about something so silly.
Every winter I post about this pet-peeve and now it's back: when you buy a new coat, please take out that large x-stitch used to close the bottom of the back vent in your coat. It's not part of the style, it's to keep it neat on the rack.
And on another note about vents in clothes: guys, please, jackets with a single centered back-vent as opposed to the two side vents, look better on almost all of you.
I have been devouring any and all information about the fussy little details of yesterday's state dinner for India, solely because I still really want to write my The American President/West Wing/Torchwood-AU fic and it ends with a state dinner. Um, so yeah, that's today's useless distraction.
Apparently the Adam Lambert thing continues to get more stupid, with ABC canceling his appearance on their morning show because of the AMA performance. Seriously folks, the guy on his knees in front of Lambert? David Bowie did this shit in like 1973. Why are we still squealing and squeamish?
Today, leaving work early to see the balloons being blown up with Patty, then a quiet night in, and a lie-in tomorrow before All the Food Ever with my parents. I'm pretty excited.
