sundries

- edits edits edits

- oh god, menstruation, ow ow fucking ow

- also, it makes me stupid; I spent four hours yesterday not understanding the statistical work that is the center of multiple projects and that I do all the time. I just couldn't understand it anymore. it was disturbing. today seems better.

- I had a dream featuring a celebrity last night. Amazingly, that NEVER happens. Ridiculously, it was essentially no more interesting than us falling asleep on a couch while watching a football game and then some fan girls hated me. My unconscious needs to step it up.

- Am going to be on another podcast next month. Woo.

- Pittsburgh stuff solved.

- Brought the laundry in.

- Look, some days it's the small victories.

Re: menstruation troubles: do you take a daily calcium supplement? I had horrible periods for years, then when I was in my mid thirties, a friend told me about taking calcium everyday for it, and it helped considerably.

You're not going to tell us which celebrity? Tease. ;)

WRT the Crimson Tide, if it's always super horrible, you might talk to your doc about going on the Pill? I used to deal with excruciating pain, migraines, and a wish for Death to come fetch me so I didn't have to deal with that every month. Doc put me on Seasonique, now I only have a mini-period (seriously, a day and a half) every 13 weeks.

Seconded! (Though I've filled in the blank according to my own particular kinks, which make utter contextual sense. *grin*)

But my real question is, do you actually watch football? Hahahah. That too me is the real hilarity of it.

[identity profile] rm.livejournal.com 2011-05-12 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I do not, and I suspect the celeb in question doesn't either. We couldn't find the clicker.

Hah! I think this is all even more hilarious not knowing who exactly. One is free to insert various celebrities of choice and invent ridiculous dialogue.

Ugh, I hate period brain. It happens to me, too. One minute I'm fine, the next, derp. I used to blame it on my low blood pressure but now I'm wondering if it's just part of the fun-filled world of hormones included with monthly menses.

re menstruation... I've got a contraceptive implant (Nexplanon) and it means I have no periods at all - that also means no pain and no PMS once your body's used to it, I got a bit hormonal the first few days, like a rush - best thing I ever did - all it is is a small tube in your arm - invisible to the naked eye (my life situation wouldn't allow me to have another child anyway, so this is an ideal solution)

1. I'm 43 and so over the whole Menstruation thing. When will it end? Ugh, mom?

2. Edits are the devil. Editors are pazuzu. I got nothing else on that front.

3. I hate Pittsburgh.
