Patty and I are watching Ouran High School Host Club.

We've only seen the opening credits so far and all I want is a Glee-AU focusing on the Warblers. Come on, it's fucking brilliantly wrong.

oh my godddd. ouran host club. it is amazing. just stop once the animation changes... i watched it a while ago and it gets shit once the animation changes i recalll

I grabbed it off Netflix as part of "Operation emergency Anime education before Fanime", and it's become a total guilty pleasure. The genre parodies, the ridiculosity, and hot androgynes in suits... It gets a real plot eventually, but I was pretty happy to just enjoy the candy before that, and they got me to care enough by the time the plot kicked in that I was hooked. I wasn't gonna inflict it on my partner because omg so silly, but he heard me laughing at it and said "Okay, I'll watch one or two just so I know", and now he's watching it and I'm re-watching it with him.

And while I'm so not a Glee fan, yes, a crossover would be super fun awesometastic.

I love Ouran High School Host Club btw. I was so reluctant to watch it the first time cause I thought it was going to be ridiculously cliche and all everybody wants the main character type thing (especially from the way my friend explained it), but instead it was just... Epic Insanity lol

There basically already is one. It's called Dalton, written by CP Coulter, & it's on ff.net. It was all the rage back in November/December; practically the entire fandom was reading it. I never liked it, personally, especially after I heard the author kinda ripped off OHSHC - it's full of OCs and the characterizations of Kurt & Blaine are pretty OOC, but eh. A shitload of people were obsessed with it for a good while.

I'm glad I wasn't the only person thinking this.

I have read up to chapter 20/21 when it became SO DENSE AND UNREADABLE, up until then I found it very cracky, a bit of a romp and rather enjoyable if I wanted some fluff. The level of praise it was getting far outweighed the quality of the fic IMO....

I read the first chapter and it didn't grab me, so I didn't bother continuing. I did see quotes from later chapters that were more amusing than anything else, but I doubt they were supposed to amuse me, if you get my meaning. And most of the super-popular fics/authors in this fandom receive more praise than their quality deserves, if you ask me.
