The sample from "Lake Effect" is awesome. Every time I encounter wedding stress, either in fiction or in real life, it makes me more glad that A. and I had such a simple wedding: We were married in a judge's office in New Orleans City Hall. My roommate was the best man, hers was maid of honor. Her mother and sister represented the bride's side of the family. No one represented the groom's side of the family, because from their point of view we were eloping. The ceremony was followed by a wedding dinner at Pizza Hut. Good times!
