well

I am, in fact, really, actually going to Germany.

I have a passport appointment on the 17th, they will put it into my hands on the 20th and I fly on the 21st (or possibly the 22nd) returning either on the 24th (late) or the 25 (early) so my mom doesn't kill me.

Stressed?

You bet. But I'm excited. Eventhough it's for my crappy day job, I'm telling you, I'm treating this as the beginning of my jet setting life.

Where in Germany will you be going? If you find yourself in Munchen (Munich) and have any opportunity to play tourist, I highly recommend you visit Rothenburg.

I will be in Bonn, which is by all accounts boring.

ah, too bad...also sounds like you will not be there very long, but I hope you enjoy your trip!

Have you been to Germany before? Not to put on the spot or anything, but are you going to post any pictures of your trip? I love arm chair travel. =)

No.. I wrote about that fairly recently actually... although I think before you crossed my path. I don't own a digital camera though and I don't tend to take photos in general -- I'm much more inclined not to be distracted from whatever I'm doing by it. I do tend to post travel diaries though, generally written longhand originally.

I love the way you weave a story--so, I'll be looking forward to your travel diaries! (I'll just google some images of Germany for my own satisfaction)
