My father works in advertising, and advertising and mareting as a form of art and entertainment has always been a given to me. I remember getting chills during the big Apple 1984 spot whenit first aired and often lament how uninteresting advertising is lately.

Well, Cog is one of the coolest spots I've seen in ages -- and none of it is computer generated.

I saw that one a while ago. I have no interest in most ads (primarily because like most TV, they are drearily dull), but well done ones are wonderful. Such are one of the reasons I used to love music videos (which are essentially ads for songs), back in th 80s when people bothered to make interesting and creative videos.

Sadly, because mindless repetition and annoyance seem to work just as well as any other sales technique, there isn't enough impetus for well done ads.
