well, considering that rome was conquered by an illiterate war mongering people who despised the romans for being, among other things, elitist, i'd say that's pretty accurate.

Hi--I'm a displaced New Yorker who saw your journal recommended in another New Yorker's journal. I'm an academic studying Medieval literature and history in New England and an instructor at the local University...
