Big article on the Channel and movie-type ads in general:

I love the crazed photographer stunt.

Dude, so not into work today. I mean Barron's has a holiday tip in it to buy family members fractional jet share rental cards with $10,000 of flying time on them as "stocking stuffers." For those not in the know, that's about 2.5 hours of flying time at best.

P.S. -- I think Netflix is being passive agressive with me -- I took a really long time ot return a couple of movies, and now they are taking a really long time to send me new ones, but Amadeus and Croupier should be here this weekend. Big giant potato head! Also, seeing Finding Neverland tonight I think.

When I had Netflix, I noticed specific times when the movies took an unbelievably long time to arrive. I always associated it with a passive aggressive way of regulating how many movies I could actually receive in a month. Although realistically, Bill's probably just out sick again.

I amanaged to watch 21 movies one month. But now it's all five days for something new to arrive.

I KNOW.

It's so frustrating when I'm in the middle of a series.

Sola and I are so terrible about actually going to a theater -- I've seen two movies in the theater in this calendar year.

I would like to see Finding Neverland, and she is very keen on the Polar Express, but unless someone kidnaps us, I think we'll likely end up waiting for dvd.

Oddly enough, she's said she was going to camp out for the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I probably will, too.

Also, Netflix is being very slow for us, too.

I'm still waiting for the most recent HP to arrive on DVD. I just about never do the theater bit anymore.

I read your name in my inbox as "dickie" - we'll blame it on the font and how exhausted I am. I saw your icon when I clicked to reply before I saw your name and thought, "Wtf, that's delchi's .. oh." That's my day in a nutshell.

PoA and the special edition of RotK will be our next two movie purchases. HP and LotR, and I suppose the Matrix, have been the only things I've gone out of my way to try to see in the theater in a long time. The amount of acronyms in this reply amuse me.

I'm on blockbuster ( because of the free in store rental deal ) and they jsut cut a deal with the post office. As soon as they scan in your returns , they notify blockbuster and send your next movies on.

Too bad Blockbuster offends me.

The actual stores never stocked NC-17 films and in some cases made specific deals for edited R rated versions of said films. Dunno about the mail order version, but I refuse to support that.
