is it just me, or did music just get cool again?

Watching SNL and Scissor Sisters sort of owns me, mainly because the lead singer is some evil cross between Brian Slade and Peter Allen.

You wanted to know what's wrong with me? Well it's right there.

I guess if the Reagan presidency was good for music, the next four years should be just brilliant.

God, I hope the music of this decade turns out to be something more than the godawful stuff that's been churned out by the industry of late. I can't remember the last time I bought a new release.

No, wait, that's not true. Evanescence. But they're about it, and it doesn't look like they're going to have anything new coming out anytime soon.

I feel like I should know who Scissor Sisters are, but I can't think of anything by them right at the moment.

They're sort of some weird glamrock/disco evil. Cheese-cool. It's sort of great if you have a sense of humour about your music and a fondness for that sort of thing.

Franz Ferdinand on the other hand, brilliant without those caveats, although there's definitely some glam rock musicla ancestery in there (as well a clear love for The Beatles).
