There was a bar I used to go to, all the time, with Michael, and we were friends, as much as patrons can ever be, with the staff there. Eventually the bartender married the waitress and decided to have a baby. The bar closed, Michael didn't tell me until after it had happened, and I never saw them again.

Except I just ran into her, and her three-year-old a block from my house. They've opened a bread shop in Essex market and the little boy's name is Riley.

At least some sledgehammers are delightful.

I feel a little fucked up about it. She asked about Michael, and can anyone ever not sound like a git in that situation?

The kid was hysterical though, and was all "but who aaaaaaaare you?" at me.

Things end, I think most people get that. It's nice to hear they're doing well, in any case.
