NYC only mover recommendation

I am coordinating a move for a client, but being a poor New Yorker have never used a moving service. I need several recommendations for real movers if anyone has them -- man with a van things, but like licensed, bonded, big truck, etc.

Thanks!

We've been pretty happy with Moishe's—Lauren thinks that the movers they send are usually pretty hot, too—but they're a little expensive, I think.

The thing I learned the hardway about most movers around here (don't know if it's the same in NYC) is that they often subcontract all the actual work to basic random people off the street and that you really want to ask specifically if you will be getting employees with a background check or subcontractors.

While this is not a direct recomendation on which mover to get, it's an important question to ask and one I wished I'd asked before the last time I hired movers.
