From a Craigslist (I know! I know!) casting notice, emphasis mine, typos theirs:

I need full length acts as well as shorter 10-15 minute pieces and also a number of acts that are under 5 minutes([referably under 3). Music, drag, dance, lip-synching, pupetry, video, poetry, sci-fi, acrobatics, public mathematics, breakdancing, monologues...pretty much ewverything sounds good to me. As long as it's not sincere or sentimental.

I know what his point is, but you know, God forbid anyone should ever utter or perform anything that isn't steeped in so-called "ironic" distance. Do I need to start beating people with air-quotes?
