Well it's the 4th of July. Which has never really been a big holiday for me, mostly I remember as a kid watching the fireworks on TV with my parents. In the last few years, I've managed to go to various events, usually through begging a bit, because I want cookout food and some outdoor fireworks. So as a friend of a friend I've trundled along to rooftop barbeques and other endeavors that while, not unwelcome at, I certainly had absolutely no point in being at, or so I felt.

This year, not so, which isn't to say I have any great plans at all. Working on my lines, filling out applications for trade show staffing agencies, working on some stuff for some auditions this week. A wander over to Criff Dogs for a hotdog in a bit, and 28 Days Later with my cast tonight. I am moderately filled with trepidation on the subject, because the play is strange, and really, for the most part, I feel like no one in the show really knows anything about each other -- which is neither here nor there. One of the exceptions, I think, is the stage manager and I, who have bonded over all sorts of geeky things that serve as shorthand for the various types of weird we each possess.

Very nice phrase ... it rather jumped up at me. I've been at exactly those events myself.
