I'm just going to link you to the entirety of zarq's latest link post. There's so much on it that's just awful and sad and important to read about starting with the kid who posted the rules of the facility his parents are sending him to in the hopes that it will turn him straight.

I have problems with stuff like this, as my brother and his family are right-wing fundamentalists. I hesitate to begin criticizing it for fear it will spill over into my own family interactions, and if I want to know my nieces and nephew at all, I have to respect their parents wishes when it comes to voicing my opinions about their beliefs, lest they start telling the kids what to believe about me.

On the other hand, I'm aghast at the self-righteous arbitrary holier than thou shit.
