I finally saw the bloody pirate movie. The action sequences become tedious, but otherwise it is way better than it has any right to be and I loved the score to pieces -- bombastic and insane, but big fun. Johnny Depp is a god and the thing should have ended three minutes earlier than it did, because I liked the idea of the three heroes running off together ever so much more than that one boy and one girl nonsense.

I second that agreement.

I really feel like there was another ending that got cut or changed or SOMETHING, because the flow of the movie was most emphatically NOT going towards a nice straight kiss ending.

Yeah... I mean the end of the film is bumpy as sin. And really, if they wanted it to just be Will and Elizabeth, surely, they could have come up with dialogue other than what Will and she say before they jump between Jack and the swords?
