I'm not disputing your observation, at all. I'm just trying to use some disinformation found on the web to try to give you the false hope that maybe it was somehow preprocessed just enough to kill off anything.
If it'll sooth your mind, have a shot of something strong, vodka or jaeger, just to help with the internal disinfection. The odds of that small exposure having enough of a bacteria load to overwhelm a competent immune system are ...I wouldn't bet on being able to grow some bad bacteria in culture from swabbing your mouth, even IF that particular piece was actually infected. Ok? But have the drink anyway - it'll at least get the taste out.
I am trying my best to construct an image of you drinking a shot of Jager. Sadly, even my advanced VR system can't produce that. Oddly , all it did was give me a 216 digit number then it crashed. :)
Aside, this is the stuff that lawsuits are made of.

But yeah, they are supposely precooked at some point -- maybe twice, if you count what it takes to get the 'meat' off the bones.

I mean, you lick the bowl with raw eggs in the batter when baking, right? So you've developed some immunity there. Ok?
