There are too many movies to see now through the end of the year. I've got to get to:

Breakfast on Pluto (today, hopefully)
Brokeback Mountain
Walk the Line
Good Night and Good Luck
Syriana
Narnia
Munich
Memoirs of a Geisha (even if they've fucked up the makeup)
and a bunch of other crap I can't even think of right now.

I need to email people (today hopefully) about Dogboy & Justine and figure out how many of the roles I'm going to have to cast from strangers (*shudder*). And it all needs to be finalized by the 15th.

I _really_ need to pick up more headshots.

I need my bloody checks from Across the Universe to show so I can join SAG before the fee goes up $600.

I really need to just sit with my screenplay and just get it done. This really should be moved to a more pressing position on the list.

Eargh, holiday shopping.

And a whole lot of other crap including laundry, that thing that was fanfic that seems to want to turn into an origfic novel, and boxes.

Life is a truly weird balance of logistics and creativity right now, and it's not quite the right balance even if it's the necessary one for the moment.

Wow, do I ever hear you about the first part. Where was all this during the summer...?

I don't know. But it's insane.

Munich is getting big coverage in Australia because of Bana and the fact that it's like the anti-campaign for the Oscars, in that the buzz is all about how we know nothing. I'm nearly sure the movie will find some way to annoy me, but I'm glad the dude has this vehicle. Could be a seriously weird best Actor year if you think about the weird range of films getting noise in that regard.

You're going to like "Good Night and Good Luck", I think. It's visually beautiful, and remarkably accurate.

Some right-wing bloggers were incensed at the over-the-top performance by the actor playing Joseph McCarthy, until someone took them aside and clued them in.
