at long last, the festival got it together, put the plays up for downloading actually using a secure server. It's too late to vote, but if you want to see, go to http://www.therianttheatre.com/video/index.php -- Series F -- we have a tiny funny publicity photo too -- http://www.rachelinemaltese.com/dj.jpg (work safe, but tawdry, and very very tiny).

Meanwhile, and vastly unrelated, there's finally news about the new Baz Luhrmann project, which apparently will even have a name soon. This is lovely.

Also unrelated other than in a A makes me think of B way, depressingly, there's currently a Quantas fare from NYC to SYD for $750 which is so cheap it makes my teeth hurt, but I've not the $$ or time.

No, rom NYC it's generally about 1300 or 1400, although with luck you can get it under 1100. Under 1000 is practically unheard of though, especially on Quantas, which is pricey as a rule.

In that theoretical $$ and time universe, yeah. I really want to tak her there, but truly, this is in the middle of her semester. If I bumped into the dollars, I could swing it for myself, but the fly dates on it would be impossible for her. All things in good time.
