The Descensus timeline is making me so crazy right now, as we have a bunch of stuff written and not posted right now for various reasons, and I'm trying to figure out where something goes and I can't keep track of anything. I swear, I'm making a series of callendars for like 1971 - 1980 and writing everything down, because I'm losing it. grar!

I, too, completely share your pain.

I have a Word file for each Potter book, which contains scenes which are in order and attached to the 'framework', plus notes (mostly nicked from the hp-lexicon.org timelines) on what all is happening in the world/plot that may matter to my characters.

Then there's another big file with scenes that happen - well, I know it has to happen before y5, but probably after y2, but it's just sort of floating around right now.

Plus two files of ridiculous, insane Word tables of practically every Slytherin student, canon or generated-by-me, attending any time from 1991 to 1997 or 8, their family alliances and politics and so on.... gah. Plus class schedules, all the students in her year, what classes she has with anybody not Slytherin, and ad nauseam.

And I still drop details.

Right now I'm trying to figure out if Severus and Narcissa start messing around before or after Cissy's engagement, and I was writing thinking after, but now that I've looked at something we haven't posted yet and think it needs to be before, and now I'm trying to fix it. Oi!
