I am no small amount of distracted. We watched Stage Beauty last night and then stayed up talking really late and between percolating that (more later) and the lack of sleep, I'm all over the place -- like so distracted I can't even latch onto a daydream with a coherent narrative. I need a nap.

And I just had to turn down background work on something or other because it was the say I have Hedda Gabler tickets -- and while it would more than make up for the loss of that price, I think it's sold out now, and I really do want to see it, so you know, fuck it.

I love that movie. I found the transition of moving from men to women in the theater was fascinating for both what was being left behind and what was being created.

Cruddup was moving in that scene where he auditioned for the king

As much as I am a fan of historical accuracy in films, I am glad I was able to like Stage Beauty. While the premise is entirely inaccuracte, they admit such up front and go on the intelligently explore "what if" in this alternative universe.
