I have had an unbelieveably busy day. I doubt I will get home before 10, at which point I have to do work for _two_ other jobs. Which is fine, my life is largely my choice.

But wow, if I see one more "my group is more persecuted than your group" post/comment/whatever today I'm going to scream. I don't have enough fingers and toes to track it all its so pervasive today, but I can't deal. Maybe I'll be more focused in my anger later, maybe not -- as my main goal when I get home is finishing something for Descensus.

Some of it may be pre-emptive, in the "damn it! I can't ever talk about X issue, without other people leaping in to say, 'What about Y?!? What about Z?!?! Why aren't MY priorities yours as well?!?!'" (and what about the children?)

I know that I'm going to deal with that shortly, and am bracing for it.

Mostly it's Brokeback vs. Crash wankery. and while I would love to see some intelligent discussion about visible versus invisible marginalizing traits, I'd also really love it if people could get that people could find Crash an intolerably unsubtle film without being racist or Brokeback really frigging boring without being homophobic.
