I'm currently coding an article about how women need to humor men more -- courtesy of some ivy league professor. To which I can only respond with a dialogue:
"why aren't we angrier?"
"because it's not attractive."

Can I just say how revolted I am?

Ugh, that article sounds like a mixture of the infantilization of men that has been increasingly common in media and pop psychology, combined with a call to return to archaic and horrifying female roles and behaviors. Much of this nation is attempting to march firmly back to an imagined vision of the 1950s.

Someone came up with this as a RESEARCH paper. I am so happy to have left academia.

I'm going to sound a little rude here, but I think the issue is not for women to humour men more, but for men to start considering women as something more than sperm receptacles. Seriously, that's pretty much the message that is given out by popular media , advertising and about every 50 feet in Vegas - and it needs to change.

Yes, we need to humor men MORE. Because the entire fucking world doesn't already cater to them.
