From reading your posts these many moons, it seems to me that you draw a good deal of the power in your own life from your own integrity, and living your life according to that integrity, whether or not anyone else approves of or even understands it. It goes without saying that that's not easy to do. But it also means that, whatever the immediate outcome, this will ultimately be a source of power for you in your life. I really, really wish you well with it.
My mom ripped up my letter and flushed it down the toilet and pretended she never got it, and then I had to tell my dad separately. Weirdly, they were both fine *with me* directly though.

IMHO , you shoudl throw a large scale party to celebrate yourself, no matter what the outcome is. You deserve it.
