Okay, my AC article on coming out to your parents it up:
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/30172/advice_on_coming_out_to_your_parents.html (again, page views affect my compensation, but I'm doing really well so far, and at least I got some cash out of this grief).

Meanwhile, at work, I just coded an article about how attractive people, all other things being equal, are assumed to be better workplace performers and overestimate their abilities. In time, when other team members realize this, they begin to slack off. I'm interested in this, mainly, because I tend to get really tangled up in issues of attractiveness and achievement in my fiction (fannish and orig), and I need to sit in the dark and think about this in regard to several characters at hand.

ETA:
And two Australia articles are up --

And a thing I don't like so much that I did on creating acting resumes:

I've seen this happen over and over again on the job. One of the weirdest things about it, in my experience, is that when the attractive, but incompetent person in question leaves (they are seldom fired – at best “gently” eased out, often by circumstances)), no one ever seems to recall that they did a bad job. They are remembered fondly and people are sad they left.

    Grrrr!
