I particularly like the part about how states would not be allowed to construe their own state constitutions and laws to permit same-sex marriages "or the legal incidents thereof". The Republicans squeal about "states' rights" whenever the right to piss on black people is at stake, but when a state wants to do something that gets their knickers in a twist....argh.
