HP trivia question

Does anyone know the actual date Snape went to Dumbledore to, presumably, turn spy. I know we know "after Harry's parents died," but is there an actual date? I've just had a crackpot theory occur to me, and I need to know if cannon contradicts it, which I'm almost sure it doesn't.

I don't think they mention any actual dates other than Harry's birthday, do they? And I think the date his parents died, but that's it as far as I know.
