I am having a hard time getting a move on this morning. I need to go to the office for a couple of hours before going to set, which despite the fact that money is good, I really hope is a straight eight as it's out at Silver Cup and they are only busing as a far as the 7 train and my check in is at 2:30pm.

A big part of the problem is that I've not really eaten properly in two days. I know, bad. But my body is just waaaay not down with the idea right now. Perfectly understandable, but it must be moved passed, as food can only help (even if there is a certain degree of thoughts of loss there too that I'm not really in a zone to deal with right now).

I have to also call in Amerifilm about some stuff today. That sort of thing always makes me tense -- you get asked to call in, and then because so many idiots call-in without invitation and piss off the people who answer the phones, you can sometimes deal with some really intimidating brusqueness until you justify yourself.

I start a new Heyer book today, and I'll bring paper, either to work on one of 8 billion wizardly fragments, or more stuff for the original piece. I wrote something, sort of in jest, a few nights ago that amused me. I have to trick myself a lot to get this done it seems.

The characters, btw, largely do have names at this point, I just continue to omit most of them because I feel weird about them, as if I can't sell them to you in fragments, and so don't want them to distract. Again, this is stuff for me working things out, not asctually stuff in the piece.

[Main Girl Character} watched as Eliot hugged her master, and despite his best and predictable efforts, kissed him on the mouth.

“I’ve missed you, [NAME}” he said softly.

Her master frowned, and so did she. It amused her to think they were equally unused to hearing him called by any familiar name. She watched Eliot with interest.

“What did you do with the boys?” he asked, looking with dismay at a copious amount of luggage, but no actual other living creatures.

Eliot gestured to a large trunk. “I haven’t unpacked them yet.”

[NAME] rolled his eyes, tried not to groan and hoped it was a joke. [Main girl character], knowing he’d be looking for a distraction momentarily, thought there might be wisdom in directing her eyes back towards the floor, despite her amusement at all this potential upheaval in her master's ever so dreary kingdom of pointless order. She smiled to herself. The idea of guests had terrified her, but now she was starting to suspect, or perhaps only hope, that they would be far more plaguing to her master than herself. Good. As far as she was concerned, he deserved it. She glanced at the trunk then, and tried to decide if there really were boys in it.

also any Snape/ Harry recs out there that I haven't read and have something resembling a plot? It's the one pairing that lacks any context other than whatever it is for me, so I can read it even in my worst moods.
