Okay, so Associated Content gave me money for an article about Harry Potter porn. The next test, will it give me money for a humour article making the case that pugs aren't dogs, but goblins? Yes, I just submitted this. And there's a photo.

Really, it's all about the photo. You are my hero today.

Heheheh. The photo is amazing. I found it on a stock photography site with no useage restrictions or fee. And I captioned it to say, "A pug demonstrating its goblin-like qualities."

I hate pugs.

I'm been contemplating sugning up with Associated Content, now I finally know someone that they've paid, so I can go forth and do it.

I've made about $350 from them, all paid already.

I wonder if they'd pay for my "What's it like to be black" essay?

[identity profile] rm.livejournal.com 2006-07-05 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
Probably. They rarely reject anything that's coherent as long as it has a good keyword density and they do have opinion and society sections

If they don't buy it, will you post it somewhere we can read it PLEASSSSSSEEEEE?!

[identity profile] rm.livejournal.com 2006-07-05 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Totally.

Okay, if they pay for absurdist humor, I am so set.

[identity profile] rm.livejournal.com 2006-07-05 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
They do have a whole humour section, but this is my first foray into it. I will keep you posted. I will also respond to your email soon. Today has been my detox from too much human contact day.

Oh, excellent.

How long does it take for them to get back on a first article, do you recall?

Officially, within 5 working days. With summer though (meaning vacations at the office) I find it can be a bit longer.
