[Poll #791662]

footnote for non-New Yorkers: The exhibit is called "Snakes Alive!" because The Museum of Natural History is known largely for having diaramas full of dead, stuffed things. Live creatures of any sort isn't really the place's deal, so the fact that this exhibit contains live snakes and lizards is a big deal. And it's sort of a big giggle to everyone here to see these "Snakes Alive!" posters everywhere, because mentally we all append, "No, Really!" to it.

I don't have a costume, at all, which is truly sad.

We should work on that.. You've always struck me as someone who would be into sumptuous clothes were it practical with your life.

I think hardly anyone on my friends list is actually that into HP -- maybe 20 people. Everyone else just graciously plays along, which I love.

I love hearing about your joys and frustrations in the fandom. If I didn't have sixteen million other things going on in my life I would probably do more writing and fan-involvement.

Hey, I do consider myself part of the rmfandom!

Oh yay. Awesome. I actually have a sort of big thing percolating about it... where I actually talk about it seriously as opposed to "clothes wizards la la la"

I can't even get out of the house, much less to NYC, but I'd so be there. Real live snakes and Slytherins! Oooh!

And I just spent two hours trying to remember what people were wearing in the early-mid-nineties for formal wear so I could drag my characters on imaginary shopping trips for a proper wardrobe for the World Cup weekend and other events. I'm sure this was totally not necessary to the story.

We're not from NY, but we'd love to drive up for that, and could bring real snakes if anyone would wish...

That would be very cool. I suppose snakes travel better than most other animals as long as you keep them temperature comfy. I have no idea when I want to do this yet (although possibly in September when one of my Phoenix Rising roommates is visitng), but I am actually going to try to come up with a plan and will of course keep you posted.
