[Poll #791662]
footnote for non-New Yorkers: The exhibit is called "Snakes Alive!" because The Museum of Natural History is known largely for having diaramas full of dead, stuffed things. Live creatures of any sort isn't really the place's deal, so the fact that this exhibit contains live snakes and lizards is a big deal. And it's sort of a big giggle to everyone here to see these "Snakes Alive!" posters everywhere, because mentally we all append, "No, Really!" to it.

Date: 2006-08-13 01:27 am (UTC)And I just spent two hours trying to remember what people were wearing in the early-mid-nineties for formal wear so I could drag my characters on imaginary shopping trips for a proper wardrobe for the World Cup weekend and other events. I'm sure this was totally not necessary to the story.
