It was due to happen, he took chances no one takes ... but he was a guilty pleasure of mine, loved watching his show back in the day. He died doing what he loved, which is what we all should get.

As odd as the whole show was I appreciated his joy and delight at the natural world as well as his appreciation for animals. While he relocated dangerous crocodiles away from humans he didn't drug them or kill them. He always acknowledged he was doing dangerous things and that "no one should do this at home".

Heck, he had said that even if he was killed or eaten by an animal he wanted the crew to keep filming because it would be a shame if there wasn't any footage.

I heard it was probably a quick death. I hope it was.
