I just found out that someone I didn't know well at all really -- just in clubs and hadn't run into in years (but it's different with clubs -- it's like cousins you only see at funerals. They don't matter to your day to day life, but these people do matter to you nonetheless), so I didn't even know her real name, died in a stupid, ugly way. In a world where few people were both gracious and beautiful, I don't ever recall her being less than either. I hope she saw those things in herself more often than not.

I have found that it doesn't matter how well one knows a person, when they're gone, it has a lasting effect. I'm sorry about your loss.
