woah

In pulling up links for my "Snape has celiac disease" theory, I discovered some things about me and my celiac disease that are pretty upsetting.

Celiac symptoms I have and didn't know were celiac symptoms:

"gluten ataxia" -- if you know me, you've seen me do this, and I always thought I was just getting ahead of myself. This has gotten worse in the last few years.

night blindness -- which I've also had forever.

Fuck. This is like -- my _brain_.

As someone with completely annoying (though more run-of-the-mill) health problems myself, I am so sorry about the whole process of discovery with all of this, fucking bleah. Is there any information about what might make someone LESS sensitive over time, or is it all the other direction?

It's all the other direction. Once I go for a long period of gluten-free and a lot of the damage heals, little mistakes should cause less intestinal pain, but probably not less emotional and nervous system response.
