staying in

So I just got all dressed up in my Snape gear to go the the HP meetup thingy with Draco and the Malfoys, got as far as the bus stop, and then realized I'd rather spend the night in, reading and writing, working out and straightening up the house a little.

This, of course, is the problem with the Severus factor -- dressing up to go out and be a misanthrope tends not to work. But seriously it's a $30 gig, with food I can't eat, and I've got a metric fuck-ton of stuff to do here at home.

But again, I must mention, my linen shirt from Satin Shadow is the most comfortable thing I've ever owned, and I really, really, need to get on using my own pattern for such a thing and make a few more.

I did manage to get laundry and shopping done earlier though.

I've been feeling like that lately, wanting to stay home at the Manor, as it's just so beautiful now, and so much I could be doing here rather than being out in the cold. Of course, perhaps that is because Hallowe'en has us running everywhere, but in a week I'll have My home life back, and cvan set to writing and the music again.

This time of year is _such_ a bitch. And it's not just Halloween. The amount of birthdays in my circle this time of year is also really dense. I've been all proud of how much more social I'm being lately, but tonight it was just so time to draw the line.
