sneakers?

Talk to me about your favourite sneakers. Not from a fashion perspective; I've got that down (and I blame my time in Australia entirely). I need a new pair for this fencing business and I'm at a loss in terms of finding something that has some degree of flexibility but are sturdier than dance or yoga sneaks (and also aren't a hideous shade of green like these cute little Pumas I saw at DSW the other day).

Thirding the New Balance love. Best running shoes I ever owned.

I also like Merrell a lot. They have really great arch support and are a little more stylish than my NB sneaks.

fourth. i use their running shoes, and they last and last, and have lots of nice support and are generally fantastic.

as far as fencing particularly... i'm trying to think of what sports require similar moves... tennis? wrestling? cross-trainers? aerobics shoes? i'd try one of those i guess. also, if you want to get a great deal, try sierra trading post. i always find my new balances there for half of what i can find elsewhere.
