Mostly, I feel like I'm in far less pain than I thought I would be. Until I have to go up or down stairs. Then tears spring to my eyes. It's weird. Meanwhile my arms are so non-developed that I can actually see a difference in them just from this one day. Still debating whether to go to class again tomorrow or wait until Monday.
Dressed as Snape.
My neighborhood, meanwhile, is very nearly an armed battle between flocks of small costumed children and Jehova's Witnesses.
That is all.

Date: 2006-10-31 07:18 pm (UTC)0) Warm up and stretch gently before you get there, even if they run you through warm-ups, anyway. This won't be so necessary in a few weeks, but right now, it should help keep your muscles from killing you.
1) After class, stretch all of my muscle groups you use (if they don't make you do this already). As a dancer, I'm sure you know what you're doing with that.
2) Eat protein and carbs. Have a solid meal. Stretch some more, if you feel like it. Eat more protein throughout this whole thing. Celiac disease is a carbohydrate wonderland, so I don't worry about that.
3) Drink a lot of water. Drown in it. For some reason, this helps prevent muscle soreness. I can't remember the reasoning behind it, but it works.
4) Consider getting yourself a heating pad, or if you don't want to spend the money, fill a cotton bag with rice and microwave it until it's warm.
I think going to class tomorrow might be too much for your body, but if you remember some of the forms, I would recommend some practicing at home, or going and doing part of the class and watching the rest. I just don't want you actually injuring something out of fervor and excitement.
If I'm overbearing, it's the drugs.
