There's these shirts at the GAP now that read "Desi(red)"

Am I the only person going "South Asian/East Indian, wha?" when they see this instead of actually reading "desired"?

Oh my god, I was totally looking at the ads thinking, "Who's Desi and why are all these people wearing his shirt?"

In fact it took this post to make me realize they were intending "Desired."

Those ads just make me feel old and out of touch; I have no idea who the hell most of the people in them are.

I hd no idea the campaign was a fundraiser--ha!

And yes, I saw Desi and thought--no, Native Americans are the 'red' Indians and we're the dots. It's funny, in the 80's people would ask me "dot or feather" all the time.
