HP trailer!

A not very good pirated version of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uG45n5DOFXc&eurl=

But but but, even so -- most exciting thing ever. The pacing of it! Snape finally doing something of note in a trailer. The darkness (and I don't mean of the crappy video-ing)! Aie. This is the world of HP in my head, at last.

In other nerdliness, I am not a Dr. Who fan, but I saw an episode of the latest one (with the weirdly scrumptuous David Tennant as the Doctor) last night on sci-fi with the worl orbiting a black hole and the fallen Lucifer as a power source, and it was hands down one of the creepiest coolest things I've ever seen. I'm just saying.

Yes, good to see they are going to use Snape in this one.

Seriously. The movies have, seemingly, decided that the story of the children exists without the story of the adults. Granted, it was fairly possible to do that in the first four (although, the third had some sense about it, and it was a really horrifying mistake in the fourth, I felt), but thank goodness they've realized that just isn't going to work with the revelations of 5 and 6.

They cut a very key scene in CoS (of course I wou8ld notice, it was the scene where harry spies the Malfoys in Borgin's shop, and Draco is attracted to the necklace that later has a role in HBP ... a few other foreshadowings as well ... things liek that were cut for more "cute" kid time, ugh. I am just too literal when it comes to those books.

I am in love with David Tennant. I had never watched Dr. Who, but one episode with him and I was totally hooked. I would like to have him as a pet. Because you have it exactly right. He is weirdly scrumptious. I love the crazy eyes and the total commitment.

Also, I've never seen him play someone who didn't come off as happy with himself, even if that person was BATSHIT INSANE.
