So my cell rang in the subway and I was so startled I answered it, but couldn't really hear the person other than they are from some production company and got my resume from somewhere. So I say I'll call back, since the number is in my phone -- I call back though and it's a big office and no one knows what it was.

So I just lost an audition. Not, I pray, for anything important. But I'm freaking out.

Oh, other actors tell me you've done this sort of idiocy.

I need an icon for "stupid".

ETA: I think I just figured out what it was for, and while I've no way to get in touch with them directly, I think it was for a live event thing where I'd be a "Bond girl" at a private party. So it's a shame to lose the possible $$, but it's not at all that big of a deal.

I missed the first big part in Pokemon that I was offered because I transposed two digits when I copied down the director's number. By the time I realized this and corrected my mistake, they had given the role to someone else. They didn't call me again for almost a month. 0.o

So you're not alone. The good part is, they really wanted me and did call me back. Hopefully the same will happen for you. ^_^

I think this makes me feel better, thanks. And as far as I can tell it's a company shooting an industrial, just based on what I could get out of the receptionist, so it's certainly not my chance to be a big star or anything.

I've done it too. And eventually I've been called again by them and gotten jobs. So it's not the death of hope. But god does it feel like it at the time.
