The brownies and cinnamon cake at Babycakes are so good I was scared they weren't gluten free.

I totally know what paper I'm going to do for some HP con in 2008: "A Speculative History of Duelling in the World of Harry Potter." Right? I AM SO SMART!

Meanwhile, finished the excellent First Man in Rome. So now it's on to The Vintner's Luck for themollyhouse, then Kushiel's Dart, then Fall of the Kings, then probably the next book for themollyhouse and then on to the sequel of First Man in Rome and so forth.

Is it totally going to gut me? I read the first four pages on teh train this morning and almost burst into tears. Granted, I am feeling sensitive today, but yo.

It's entirely possible. It's completely worthwhile, though, if you can tough it out. The first time I read it, I was loving it so much that I literally couldn't finish. I came within about twenty five pages of the end and put it down for about a month because I couldn't face it.
