Brilliant and well said. I also agree with you as far as religion in schools go. I would have loved to take a class on comparative religion. I think quite a few young people are interested in religions other than their own, but don't have the drive or ability to thoroughly research them on their own.
It's fairly well-behaved. It's not particularly compelling (I don't have friends there like I do on LJ, nor would I ever expect to), but they are trying to make it more so. And while mostly you "earn points" that are redeemable for gift certificates as you post, they actually pay me to write entertainment content, which is nice. My review on Blood Diamond will be on their homepage tomorrow, which means I should get traffic bonuses too.
Interesting that he frames it as some kind of deal about your father (like, all women are in thrall to their male parent's religious opinion of them?).
