I think you'd look wonderful with short hair, but given that you seem to be going for a swashbuckling 18th century feel to your life, you definitely need to have hair that would look appropriate on a 18th century gentleman.

I liked it best when it was short. I think it's really flattering to your face and your hair in particular was very versatile when short.
