Oh, nothing traumatic. I just don't tend to tell people how uterly insane I used to be in all sorts of relatively novel but entirely unfun ways if they weren't there for the show. the thing is, it is funny -- from a distance.
Ha. Well, on livejournal it's harder to sense the difference between "I'd like to talk about this, but don't want to impose my life story on you" and "Please God do not make me share details".
That would be cool. Maybe next week? I actually have all sorts social things going on this weekend (which is a shock, or it is to me): a friend is coming into the city and I'm going to play tour guide. Ch, which will be interesting. I don't get lost anymore, but that's pretty much the height of my New York experience. And then I got bored and posted an ad on craigslist, so now I have Multiple Dates (!!).
OH man. I have Craigslist stories for you (remind me to tell you about "the lawyer, his escort service, and small world theatre gone horribly wrong"), although not in that category. I'm very curious to hear how that'll sort out.
At any rate, yeah. Next week Thursday (18th) or in the weekend is good for me and the week after that is relatively clear (although Mondays and Wednesdays are non-starters 'cause of fencing).
Oh, I'll probably hate them both. I like so few people. And then I'll have to spend the next week wondering if I can just never call them again, or if one date is enough personal contact that I actually have to tell them that I don't want to see them again. I'm just in the mood to make the effort right now.
Thursday I'll have class until about 8pm, but the rest of the weekend is good.
Yeah, I should totally already be in bed, since I have to get up early tomorrow (today, whatever) and go do academic stuff, but I don't feel like it.
More bored than brave. Or possibly I only think that because the only stalkers I've ever had were harmless. But at least with strangers, if you hate them, you're relatively assured you'll never run into them accidently afterward.
Yeah, i tend to think these thigns tend to be more boring and awkward than creepy. I mean, I'm not afraid of people, I'm just afraid they'll make my contempt for the species grow.
Ha! Yeah, I think that's the likeliest result. At least these two can write an interesting email? I deleted all the ones who couldn't construct a sentence or sent me things that consisted entirely of "That was interesting! Tell me more!" (or were fifty-year-old men) right away.
