So Letters from Iwo Jima is amazing. I had an awfully profound experience with it, some of which will be posted here, and probably not in my review, and some of which probably won't be posted here at all. Aie. More on that later.

I wrote my review of Perfum from Gather this morning. I'll post a link later.

Contra dance was fun -- and now that I'm sure I know what contra is, which is to say NOT what we were doing at the Barn dance... it's cool, I'll probably do it from time to time, but it doesn't float my boat in teh same way at all. Probably good, one can only take so much over a few short days, but hanging out with [livejournal.com profile] mizg was excellent.

Tomorrow is about 800 different kinds of work, ROME and I swear, novel in 90.

Back quite a bit, I think :) It's funny how good this feels. I think it's so amazing that you fence :)

The fencing is amazing. Amazing. I write long, insane epic posts after each class -- I don't know if that's warning or enticement. Is it something you do or have done?

Nope, it's just you to a T...that you would pick up something like that. Unique and so classy. That's why it's amazing. :)

I'm boring. I knit and do Pilates. I am so 2002, but I knit well. I'll knit you a fencing sword cover or something ;-)

Lol. The fencing is soooo me. It's more me than anything I've ever done. I even used something I learned in class the other day to fend off a subway creep. Not with a sword or anything though.

SUBWAY CREEP!

When we were in NYC for our wedding last year, we were treated to a lecture about Praise-The-Lord-Jebus by a skinny black man with a nylon cap thing on his head with a comb tucked into it. For twenty long minutes from the ride from the Brooklyn botanical gardens back to our hotel, he pontificated.

I could have used some subway creep techniques back then :)
