I was wondering if he was winking, or having facial spasms out of horror.

Ha! I was thinking the same thing.

Also, I was so amused to watch Pelosi keep refusing to clap when everyone else was.

I did not envy her. Every moment was so focused so "do I clap, do I not" -- the level of scrutiny on her, ad that double judging of her femaleness as well as her political stuff -- aie.

Yep. I bet there was a level of that for everyone in the room- you never know if the news cameras are on you, so there's always some "what's my expression look like, should I stand up"- but it was so much worse for her, right over Bush's shoulder, and new, and yeah, female.

Was it just me, or was her suit weirdly fuzzy?

I was wondering what she and Shrub were saying to each other at the end of the speech. I hope she was promising to carve out his liver with a spoon.

I was just worried about Ted Kennedy. Dude wasn't even breathing...

dude's been undead for years. Doesn't need to breathe.

Maybe Kennedy and McCain were having a Vulcan mind meld moment. It would explain a lot.

the cleric that was animateing his body fell asleep.
