Chief benefit of dressing like a boy so much? More clothes with pockets. More clothes with pockets means more opportunities to find forgotten cash. I'm now looking at a $20 which will pay for apple cider and goatcheese at the farmers market tomorrow, as well as getting my laundry done, and it makes a world of difference.

One of this week's somewhat plaguing tasks has been completed; also a plus.

I'm trying to relax now, but I have more work to do tonight and will be going into the office both tomorrow and Sunday to make up for that shortened pay period that is the second half of February. I'm tired and need a couple of quiet days, but if they will turn out that way remains to be seen.

Assuming I manage to detox tonight, there's lots of writing I want to play with. Kali and I are, for the record, very very close on the next _big_ chapter of Descensus, which is LUcius's birthday party.

Flipping channels. Las Vegas has a polygamy plotline tonight. What's up with the whole polygamy plotline thing lately?

Finally caught up on Rome last night. Man, Atia was a hottie in those furs. Also, is it possible for James Purefoy to look bad? I'm thinking not.

It's a vegas thing. Where once Vegas represented the oppertunity to do things that you would never do that were scandalous, it's now like Cinemax - where you do things that only appear to be scandalous and edgy, but in fact are pretty damn pedestrian. They are questing for things that will shock the morally rigid , while not having to actually do anything that would risk their day job or hopes of becoming the next political hope.

Las Vegas has become the candy cigarette of the american dream.

I didn't recognize him with the beard until he spoke. Facial hair or the sudden lack of it seems to destroy all my ability for facial recognition.

The Union Square farmer's market? Would that be the one? LOVE that place. Drink a coffee milk for me if that is where you go.

Me too! Also, apparently the goat dairy place gives old goat skeletons to my zooarchaeology teacher, so you should totally support them so I can have bones to look at. Small (strange) world!

I feel like I should have a more meaningful comment than, "goat skeletons!" but I don't. Goat skeletons!

"Goat skeletons!" is plenty interesting in and of itself, one would think.

I love finding money like that. With me it's usually finding cash that was sitting in a coat pocket for nine months. At least once it was from a different country, which would have been cool, but what had been roughly $40 in Iranian currency in 1977 wasn't even exchangeable in 1978.

Pockets totally rule. I've gotten to the point that unless a garment is really, really incredible in all other ways, but has no pockets, I won't buy it. And I got a book on making sewing alterations for the purpose of putting pockets in things that don't have them. And building pockets into patterns for things I want to make that don't have them.

Yes, I'm a bit pocket obsessed.

I hope you managed to detox well, and are having a great weekend!
